If you hear the Gospel and you are not set free, then you are not hearing the Gospel.

No amount of success at work will be adequate to compensate for a failure at home.

Learning about “sowing generously” when it comes to the Gospel. So I have been thinking of ways to bring Christ in into relationships where it would be akward to up and start preaching at someone. So here is what I might say to someone:
“Hey, this may sound random, but if you ever feel like want to know more about Jesus let me know, I am pretty sure I can help.”
Then I imagine changing the subject, praying, and waiting for God to show up, maybe right then, but most likely later on.

Still Fishing
Got to go fishing this weekend. We had a little lake almost to ourselves and I got to fish for hours. This was the last of 5 fish that I caught and the biggest.

I am too tired to think of some spiritual application to fishing. See the quote right before this post if you still need something.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
